Punchbowl Falls on the Eagle Creek Trail

In order to get the pics of the lower end of Punchbowl Falls, (2nd and 3rd picture above) I had to go in....and wade to the middle of the stream in order to peak around the corner. I knew you could see the falls, if I could just get to the middle of the stream.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TRY THIS!! The water so frigid and swift, and the rocks were quite slippery. I had a trekking pole to help me navigate and something solid. However that is no excuse for the stupidity of doing it. I was fortunate that I did not fall in.

All I can do is laugh, as my legs and feet were so cold, they were beyond numb.

Eagle Creek Trail, on our way to Punchbowl Falls...

Got rained out, only got 3/4 of a mile. Definitely was not prepared for rain, as it was quite sunny and warm out when we left the trailhead. Then it RAINED HARD! Got a couple of pics taken before the rain came...

Nothing like dressing up in rain gear on a rainy day, just to go out and have fun jumping in mud puddles....
